Fil-Am wins Best Cinematographer at New York Critics Circle

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino-American Matthew Libatique bagged the Best Cinematographer plum Dec. 14 (Manila time) at the New York Critics Circle Awards for his work in “Black Swan.”

Major trophies went to “The Social Network” (Best Film and Best Director for David Fincher), Annette Bening (Best Actress for “The Kids Are All Right”), and Colin Firth (Best Actor for “The King's Speech”).

This is Libatique’s second triumph for “Black Swan” after winning the same award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Sunday. Read more...
